Cape Coral firefighters rescue 2 dogs from canal, owners sought

CAPE CORAL, Fla. — Two dogs were pulled from a canal by Cape Coral firefighters on Tuesday.

According to the Cape Coral Fire Department, firefighters from Engine 2 rescued the two large dogs from a canal on Southeast 16th Terrace between Country Club Boulevard and Southeast 10th Avenue at around 1:30 p.m.

CCFD said the dogs are safe, and the owners or anyone who knows the owners should contact Lee County Domestic Animal Services to reunite the dogs with their owners.
