Afternoon and evening rain possible on Easter Sunday

FORT MYERS, Fla. — Rain chances increase today, and this is just the start of a soggy stretch heading into the workweek. As temperatures climb into the mid-to-upper 80s this afternoon, showers and thunderstorms will start to pop up. Expect the highest coverage of rain later this evening.

A cold front is approaching the Gulf Coast, and that front is responsible for boosting rain chances for most of the work week. Coverage bumps up to 60% starting Monday and lasting through Wednesday. By the time this week is over, we could see multiple inches of rain fall area wide.
