FORT MYERS, Fla. — Friday night will remain dry for the Gulf Coast, and no rain is expected over the area. Humidity will make it feel slightly uncomfortable tonight as lows struggle to fall below 70 degrees.
Saturday will be hot and humid as an approaching cold front will shift our winds to a southerly direction, this will help to drive daytime highs to the lower 90s. Winds will steadily increase through the day, making for a breezy afternoon. Rain isn’t expected until late Saturday night going into early Sunday morning.

As a cold front approaches the Gulf Coast late Saturday night, rain will begin to move into northern sections of Southwest Florida. Most of the rain will fall during overnight hours early on Sunday morning before sunrise. Rain totals range from 1-2 inches with a few pockets of heavier amounts possible. Gusty winds, some lightning, and localized flooding are possible as this line pushes through the area. Rain will fade through the day on Sunday, but some leftover showers are possible.
