ADAMS COUNTY, Ind. (WANE) — A teenager is dead after a semi-truck collided with a horse-drawn buggy early Friday morning in Washington Township.
The crash happened on Friday at approximately 2:11 a.m., according to a press release sent out by the Adams County Sheriff. Both vehicles were driving westbound down State Road 124 when, for an unknown reason, the semi rear-ended the buggy around the County Road 200 East intersection. When first responders arrived, they found two injured teenagers. 16-year-old Laura Schwartz from Decatur was pronounced dead at the scene and a teenage boy was transported to a hospital. The semi-truck driver reported no injuries.
