FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – The Indiana Air National Guard’s 122nd Fighter Wing in Fort Wayne may soon house the F-35A fighter aircraft.
According to a press release from the office of Senator Todd Young (R-Ind.), the Indiana Congressional delegation sent a letter to US Air Force Secretary Dr. Troy Meink for the consideration of housing the F-35A fighter aircraft at the Indiana Air National Guard base in Fort Wayne.
Senator Young and Congressman Marlin Stutzman (R-Ind.) led the request letter and included the signatures of fellow Indiana lawmakers, Senator Jim Banks (R-Ind.) and Representatives Frank Mrvan (D-IN-1), Rudy Yakym (R-IN-2), Jim Baird (R-IN-4), Victoria Spartz (R-IN-5), Jefferson Shreve (R-IN-6), André Carson (D-IN-7), Mark Messmer (R-IN-8), and Erin Houchin (R-IN-9)…
