FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) — NACS Superintendent Wayne Barker announced his retirement to the public last week, but after Monday night’s school board meeting, he says that internally it wasn’t unknown.
“It didn’t come as a surprise to the board, I can tell you that, and something they’ve been well aware of, that this was probably going to be the timeline,” Baker said. “I just feel, you know, more than anything, I’m just very grateful to be here. This is a wonderful school community. It’s a great place to be a school superintendent.”
