Local child buys over $1,000 worth of toys for Fort Wayne police

HUNTERTOWN, Ind. (WFFT) – Just a couple of weeks after raising money to help local law enforcement, 8-year-old Mason Lencke was joined by Fort Wayne police officers for his shopping spree.

Mason raised just over $1,000 through a lemonade stand at The Well Family Chiropractic’s Block Party a couple of weeks back, and chose to use $800 worth of this money to buy stuffed animals and other comfort toys for the Fort Wayne Police Department to keep in their cruisers. The toys can be given to children experiencing a crisis or a time of need…
