FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) — Those of the LGBTQ+ community and beyond came together to celebrate Pride during downtown Fort Wayne’s largest annual festival.
On Friday and Saturday, thousands of people gathered at Headwaters Park to enjoy the 29th annual Fort Wayne Pride Festival, which featured several music performers, a vendor market, a nonprofit resource fair, a beer tent and food plaza, and, of course, the parade. Those of all ages were welcome to the festival, which also included a “KidSpace,” as well as several nonprofit vendors.
The festival was open starting at 5 p.m. on Friday and at noon on Saturday, and closed at midnight on both days. At 2 p.m. on Saturday, community members could take part in the Pride Parade through downtown, and just a few hours later, drag performers took the stage…
