Third sentencing closes case of armed burglary at Fort Wayne home

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) — The third and final person was sentenced Monday over an armed burglary of a Fort Wayne home last year.

A judge in Allen Superior Court handed Ashley Cunningham 17 years in prison. Her accomplices, Shawn Williamson and Tyler Anderson, were sentenced earlier this year to eight years and 12 years, respectively.

In August 2025, the trio broke into a home while armed and wearing face masks. Inside was a woman, her two children and her boyfriend. The group threatened the family and took $600, according to court documents.

But they were caught on surveillance footage, and the woman told police she “had prior issues with” Cunningham, according to court documents. She also had texts showing Cunningham continually harassed her about reporting the crimes to police, specifically threatening the children’s safety in one of the messages…
