Following a quick workout at Headwaters Park on Saturday, Aug. 8, the air will be filled with the smell of food and the sounds of music as Fiesta Fort Wayne returns.
“We usually do that Zumba (at 10 a.m.), I say ‘we,’ but I don’t because I’m back and forth all day, staying busy,” said organizer Fernando Zápari, publisher and editor of El Mexicano newspaper. “But yes, we usually kick off the event with a Zumba class while there’s some of the vendors are still setting up. It’s pretty upbeat, and it’s so important to maintain a healthy community.”
Following the Zumba Latina class, DJ El Payaso and MC Kattia Tarnow take over at 11 a.m., and the festivities really get started.
