FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) – The Allen County Public Library is partnering with Blessings in a Backpack for a back-to-school bookbag giveaway this Friday.
Starting at 10 a.m. on July 31, families can visit the following ACPL branches to pick up a free bookbag filled with non-perishable food: Georgetown, Hessen Cassel, Little Turtle, Pontiac, Shawnee, Tecumseh, Waynedale, or the Main Library downtown.
The backpacks will be given out on a first-come-first-serve basis and are free to families with kids 18 years of age and younger. Organizers note that children must be present to receive the bookbags…
