BUTLER, Ind. (WANE) – A pickup truck flipped multiple times after the 18-year-old driver swerved to avoid a deer early Saturday morning, according to a release from the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office.
Around 2:30 a.m., the driver was traveling in the 7700 block of State Road 8, a rural area near Butler, when he overcorrected to miss the deer, police determined.
“As the vehicle left the roadway it overturned an unknown amount of times causing the vehicle to break into multiple pieces, coming to rest in a field north of the roadway,” according to the release.
