First Alert Forecast: Humid with a few showers Wednesday into Thursday

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) – Labor Day weekend ended on a much drier note than it started, but the humidity is about to briefly return.

An approaching front will toss some clouds and showers our way Wednesday, likely as early as late morning, so the temperature forecast is a bit less certain than usual. More cloud cover could keep highs closer to the upper 70s and lows 80s versus mid to upper-80º highs. Furthermore, how much sunshine/heating we’re able to attain will have a big influence on how much storms are able to grow during the afternoon and evening hours. Even in a worst-case scenario, however, widespread severe weather is not expected.

A few more scattered showers remain possible Thursday morning and early afternoon before drier air filters in Thursday night into Friday. Highs will be back into the 70s…
