FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – Google says it’s planning to pursue purchasing the homes surrounding the data center located in southeast Fort Wayne.
Google told WANE 15 on Tuesday that they are taking steps to purchase the homes near the data center and claims that these potential purchases are not for the expansion of the data center.
“We are pursuing voluntary property purchases with adjoining homeowners in Allen County to serve as a buffer for the surrounding area, rather than for site expansion. We are currently onboarding a local real estate partner to manage this project on our behalf, who will reach out directly to those property owners within the next few weeks with more information,” shared a Google spokesperson…
