FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) – Today is a First Alert Weather Day due to the icy conditions during the morning commute. Overnight freezing rain carries over in the early morning hours, laying down very light ice on roads, sidewalks, and other outdoor surfaces. We gradually changeover to normal rain throughout the morning, but even when we initially change to non-freezing rain, icy ground conditions will likely stick around for several hours.
