Agencies attempt to get headcount of local homeless population Wednesday for federal funding

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) – Local agencies set out Wednesday to try to get an accurate count of the number of unhoused people in nine Northeast Indiana counties. The Region 3 Planning Council on Homelessness, which exists to help individuals experiencing homelessness, includes Allen, Steuben, Lagrange, Dekalb, Noble, Huntington, Whitley, Wells, and Adams Counties. The numbers collected by the council will be reported to Congress.
