Longtime federal judge from Fort Wayne dies after more than forty years of service

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) – William C. Lee, a Fort Wayne native who served as a federal judge for more than 40 years, died Saturday. The 85-year-old judge was the first district judge to be appointed by U.S. President Ronald Reagan when he was nominated to serve as a judge for the United States District Court for the Northern District of Indiana in 1981. Lee continued to serve as a senior judge until his death.
