We’re not walking on sunshine much here in January 2024

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – We are patiently waiting for another sunny day across northeast Indiana and northwest Ohio. While this time of the year is historically filled with clouds, the cloud cover has been particularly dense so far this winter, especially here in January.

We were lucky enough to capture a quick glimpse of the sun Sunday evening in Fort Wayne. It was only there for a moment, but the view from our Windows Doors & More camera was very nice. This was our first sighting of the sun in six days in the Summit City.

However, overcast skies have made a return for our Monday and the wait continues for a partly cloudy day or mainly sunny day. Our last partly cloudy day was on January 21st in Fort Wayne and our last day filled with sunshine was on December 14th, 2023. No wonder we’ve been feeling impacts from the lack of sun!
