FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) – Two potential options for clean water in Andrews were proposed this morning at the Huntington County Courthouse. The city, whose residents were told to stop using the water in June 2020 after the water was found to have ten times the allowed amount of chloride in it, is looking at potentially building a pipe from Huntington to provide water to Andrews and shutting off the Andrews well or drilling a new well to an uncontaminated aquifer outside of the town.
