Delphi murders: Judge set to hear arguments for more charges against Allen during hearing

DELPHI, Ind. — The judge overseeing the Delphi murders case has set a new hearing date to consider the prosecution’s request to hold Allen’s defense attorneys in contempt of court and to consider whether additional charges should be brought forward against Allen.

Judge Frances Gull announced on Thursday that she will hold a hearing in her Fort Wayne courtroom to listen to arguments related to Carroll County Prosecutor Nick McLeland’s request for Allen’s recently reinstated defense attorneys , Bradley Rozzi and Andrew Baldwin, to be held in contempt of court and a request to include the charges of murder and kidnapping against Allen.

The announcement confirmed that Allen would be present during the hearing as a result of a transfer order.

Allen was charged with two counts of murder in October 2022 following accusations that he murdered Abby Williams and Libbery German near the Monon High Bridge in Delphi in February of 2017.

Allen’s trial is currently set to begin in October.
