During the last week, Fort Wayne reported a total of 607 crime cases. The most common type of crime was classified as ‘Other’, accounting for 135 incidents. This was followed by ‘Theft’ with 94 cases, ‘Domestic Related’ incidents with 87 cases, and ‘Disturbance’ with 82 cases. ‘Suspicious Situation’ and ‘Assault’ also had significant numbers, with 78 and 64 cases respectively. More severe crimes such as ‘Shooting’, ‘Vandalism’, ‘Arrest’, and ‘Burglary’ had fewer occurrences, with 19, 18, 16, and 11 cases respectively. It’s noteworthy that despite the high total number of crimes, the more severe ones like ‘Shooting’, ‘Arrest’, and ‘Burglary’ constituted only a small fraction of the total cases. The data suggests that while crime is a concern in this place, the majority of incidents are of a less severe nature.
