FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – The founder of the Greater Fort Wayne Crime Stoppers received a huge honor. Gary Lotter received the Sagamore of the Wabash Saturday morning. Crime Stoppers was created by Lotter a little over 40 years ago in 1983. The organization’s mission is, “To be a secure and safe repository of information provided by the public who wish to remain anonymous when reporting a crime. Crime Stoppers pays cash rewards for tips that result in an arrest for a felony crime.”
