Snider’s Rinehart wins diving state championship

INDIANAPOLIS (WANE) – Snider High School junior Amelia Rinehart is coming back to the Summit City with some hardware. Rinehart won a state championship in the 1-meter dive event at Saturday’s state finals at IU Natatorium.

In three dive attempts at the finals, Rinehart racked up a score of 513.40 to win first place.

Meanwhile, Carroll girls swimming earned the best finish among Northeast Indiana teams on Saturday. The Chargers finished in fifth place with a team score of 166 points. Wawasee also cracked the top 10 with a score of 78.
