ALLEN COUNTY, Ind. (WPTA) – The funding for a new Allen County Jail was approved today. The Allen County City Council voted today on the funding of the Allen County Commission’s plan to build a new jail on new land purchased on Meyer Road. The vote was 4 ‘Yes’ and 3 ‘No’, meaning that the funding will move forward for the project.
