FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) – A local advocate, William Burke, is an inspiration for kids living in similar shoes like he did. The non-profit organization, Blessings in a Backpack of Fort Wayne, has plans to launch their “Brave Bags” program for children undergoing treatment from abuse and neglect. William is the inspiration behind this project, also known as “William’s Bags.”
