Ness rallies Homestead boys soccer to 2-1 win at Bishop Dwenger

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – Despite allowing a goal within the first 15 minutes, Homestead rallied to top 2A No. 7 Bishop Dwenger in a 2-1 win on Thursday at Shields Field.

Bishop Dwenger’s Nolan Kennerk put the Saints in front in the 13th minute, curling a ball from just beyond the box into the net.

Tyler Ness scored an equalizer in the 32nd minute to make it a 1-1 game at halftime. Homestead struck again off a corner kick in the opening minutes of the second half to complete the comeback.

Homestead (5-2-2) hosts Cathedral on Saturday, while Bishop Dwenger (2-3-1) looks to bounce back that same day at Wayne.
