Fast start not enough for Spacemen against Chicago Cougars

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – Despite racing out to a 4-1 lead through two periods, the Fort Wayne Spacemen Premier dropped their first game of the season in a 5-4 loss to the Chicago Cougars.

Bogdan Vysotsky scored the first two goals of the night for the Spacemen, with both of them coming in the first period. Hayden Stratman and Antoine Bonin each lit the lamp in the second period to give Fort Wayne a 4-1 lead. However, the Spacemen surrendered four unanswered goals in the third period.

The Spacemen (1-1) look to bounce back on Thursday against the Metro Jets. Their next home game is Saturday, Oct. 5 against the Columbus Mavericks.
