FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) – The U.S. Capitol Tree event is historic, once-in-a-lifetime for the City of Fort Wayne. The tree’s journey includes a barge ride from Alaska to Oregon, and then a cross-country trip by semi-truck. The tree’s entourage has never stopped in Indiana before, but this year’s trip includes an overnight stop in Fort Wayne.
