Local restaurant Proof shuts down months after celebrating 1 year anniversary

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) — One local restaurant is shutting its doors for good just a few months after celebrating its one-year anniversary.

Proof, a restaurant located just off Calhoun Street in the old Welch’s Ale House building, announced on Facebook Friday that they will be closing for good Nov. 27.

In the Facebook post the restaurant said, “We truly appreciate all our great guests and staff. Thank you for all your support, and hard work. It is with a heavy heart, full of gratitude, that we must advise you; Proof will be closing its doors after its last service on November 27, 2024.”

Proof Kitchens and Libations is known as a modern American restaurant that aims to create a casual environment. The restaurant just celebrated their one year anniversary Sept. 27.

WANE 15 reached out to owner David Tomaszewski via email. We have yet to hear back.
