Alleged gang member tied to drive-by shootings in Fort Wayne arrested

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) Fort Wayne police arrested an 18-year-old Fort Wayne man as part of an investigation into criminal gang activity and multiple drive-by shootings.

According to a press release from the Fort Wayne Police Department, members of the Gangs and Violent Crimes Unit served a search warrant Friday morning at a home on Warsaw Street.

Inside the home, police found Decator Durden, the man named in the warrant. They also found five guns and a device that turns a firearm into a machine gun. Durden was then taken into custody.
