Jackson Co. authorities looking for escaped inmate in southern Indiana

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) – Authorities in southern Indiana said an inmate walked away from a work detail in Jackson County, Indiana, on Wednesday, March 19.

According to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, Michael D. Anderson walked away from his work detail near Vallonia Tree Nursery. He was last seen near the area of Starve Hollow. Anderson is described as a 5′8″, light-skinned Black male with black hair and brown eyes.

Anderson is said to have several tattoos including a rose tattoo on his right hand, a royal crown on his right arm, and a Chicago Bulls logo on his left leg. He was last seen wearing a yellow shirt, yellow pants, a Carhartt jacket and an orange hat. Police said he may be wearing long john-type underwear…
