FWFD: Two buildings condemned after fire at apartment complex on city’s southeast side Friday causes heavy damage

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) – The Fort Wayne Fire Department (FWFD) says a fire caused heavy damage to two buildings in an apartment complex on the city’s southeast side Friday.

According to the department, firefighters were called to Autumn Woods Apartments in the 2000 Block of Carterton Drive on reports of a possible structure fire around 7 p.m.

When firefighters arrived on the scene, they say no fire or smoke was visible from the outside of the apartment complex…
