FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) — ARCH, a Fort Wayne-based nonprofit dedicated to promoting and preserving historic places in the area, is celebrating a historic milestone of its own in 2025.
The organization is celebrating its 50th anniversary and has a new executive director at the helm with former ties to ARCH: Michael Galbraith.
“It’s great to be back here, and I spent 10 years here as first a preservation specialist and then the executive director before moving on to a couple different jobs,” Galbraith said.
As someone who enjoys learning about history and views historic preservation as an important aspect of the community, Galbraith said returning to his roots with ARCH felt like the right choice, and with ARCH turning 50 years old in 2025, he hopes to continue the organization’s efforts to highlight and protect local historic places while involving the community…
