Man who fired shots inside Georgetown Kroger enters guilty plea

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) – The 21-year-old Fort Wayne man who filmed himself firing shots inside the Georgetown Square Kroger last May entered a plea agreement on Friday.

Court records show Richard Klaff pleaded guilty to three counts of attempted murder in the case. The plea agreement, if accepted by a judge, calls for him to spend 33 years in prison and seven years on probation.

Klaff was arrested on May 23 after he fired shots inside the Kroger on East State Boulevard while on Facebook Live. Court documents filed in the case say he told viewers he was going to shoot 11 people, brandishing a gun in the store’s bathroom before going downstairs and walking through aisles…
