FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) —Fort Wayne has long been a settling place for refugees from Burma/Myanmar. The country changed its name to Myanmar in 1989, but the U.S. has refused to stop calling it Burma.
Populations have shifted over the years, but at one point, the Summit City had more refugees from Myanmar than any other city in the U.S.
