Governor Braun Signs Two Executive Orders to “Improve Customer Service for Hoosiers”

STATEHOUSE–Indiana Governor Mike Braun signed two executive orders on Tuesday that he says will “improve customer service for Hoosiers.”

One of those is supposed to modernize technology at the BMV and the plan for the other one is to streamline the permitting process in Indiana’s transportation network.

The BMV’s System Tracking and Record Support (STARS) software system was first implemented in 2004 for about $50 million. Braun says the software has come a long way since 2004 and it’s “time for the BMV to take advantage of these advances to better serve Hoosiers.”…
