FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – Two new sharks joined two longtime sharks the tank inside the Australian aquarium at the Fort Wayne Zoo.
There are two Black Tip Reef sharks, a Zebra shark and a Tasselled Wobbegong.
“This is what your ecosystem looks like and what it looks like when these animals interact. That’s our whole area is Australia,” Emily Boll, the zoo’s aquarist, said. “It’s really special to have all these species and we’re able to talk about them and how they co-habitat and that’s really cool.”
The reef sharks have called Fort Wayne home for years, but now they have new names. They’re no longer called Big and Little, but Allira and Allora…
