INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — The Indiana National Guard has been called out to help with recovery in at least 41 of Indiana’s 92 counties after Wednesday’s storms, the governor’s office announced Thursday afternoon.
For the second time in five days, Hoosiers were cleaning up damage left behind by severe thunderstorms and tornadoes.
About 50 soldiers based in units in the southern Indiana cities of Jasper, Vincennes and Seymour will assist Hoosiers with damage assessments, recovery efforts and flooding prevention in an effort nicknamed Operation Sandcastle, the governor’s office says…
