FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) – Yesterday was a very active weather day across the country, with over 700 Severe Thunderstorm and Tornado Warnings issued. Making it the 3rd most warnings issued in a single day in about 4 decades! Just check out this map!
Locally, some severe thunderstorms and a few close calls with tornado warnings meant the main story was rainfall. Fort Wayne broke a record set back in 1983 with 1.51″ of rain yesterday.
