Foellinger-Freimann Botanical Conservatory wraps up the Floor is Lava to make room for new exhibits

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) — The Foellinger-Freimann Botanical Conservatory is closing the Floor is Lava exhibit after a 4-month run. The explosive exhibit closes on April 6.

The Floor is Lava pays homage to the classic childhood game. Orange and red flora decorate the Conservatory, obstacles are set up for people of all abilities, and an active volcano steams in the background.

On Tuesday, April 15, the Color in Motion Live Butterfly Exhibit will return. The butterflies will be on exhibit from April 15 to June 22. The spring exhibit allows visitors to watch butterflies emerge from their chrysalis right before their eyes. The technicolor foliage and flowers add to the beautiful experience.

April 18 and 19 Bunny Tales in the Garden is happening from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Celebrate Easter early with the Easter Bunny and live animals. Indiana Wild will host animal presentations and family-friendly activities…
