FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) – Tonight is shaping up to be another bitterly cold one by early April standards with lows in the low 20s. The wind will be a little more forgiving, however, so wind chill values won’t dip as low into Wednesday morning.
Clouds will increase throughout the morning and afternoon, however, with temperatures warming up along the way. Rain will spread in from the west/southwest by mid afternoon and, thanks to the cold start to the day, could start as a bit of wet snow, particularly north of Fort Wayne. Accumulations are expected to be minimal, if any occur at all, and due to the nature of the incoming front temperatures will continue to rise through the evening, transitioning any mix to plain rain! By Thursday morning, rainfall totals will average around half an inch.
The rest of Thursday will feature occasional showers with warmer highs in the low 50s, followed by similar temperatures but clearer skies Friday…
