FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – The Fort Wayne Police Department (FWPD) says that a 21-year-old is facing charges after allegedly stealing $8,000 through a CashApp scheme at a Fort Wayne Dollar General.
Nian Young was arrested Thursday after the store had figured out the scheme. Officers were called to the Bluffton Road location around 3:15 p.m. and were advised that Young had allegedly been using CashApp to transfer money from the store’s register to his account.
The store said he had allegedly stolen $8,000 over a three-week period. Young was interviewed by detectives and arrested after police say he admitted it. The case remains under investigation…
