Man who allegedly drove more than 130 MPH in active I-69 construction zone charged

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) – A Huntington man is facing a misdemeanor charge after allegedly driving 132 miles per hour in an active construction zone last week.

Indiana State Police Sgt. Jason Ward was working in a marked construction zone on I-69 last week when he noticed a small car traveling “well-above” the posted 55 miles per hour speed limit, court records show. He estimated the car was going well over 100 miles per hour because the car was in the left lane “passing cars like they were sitting still.”…
