Marijuana advertising ban passes, but don’t expect billboards to come down immediately

INDIANAPOLIS (WANE) Anyone driving north on I-69 knows that once they enter Steuben County, they can expect to see lots of billboards advertising marijuana dispensaries located in Michigan, where pot is legal. But that kind of advertising will no longer be allowed after the passage of a bill outlawing marijuana advertising in Indiana, where it’s illegal.

The ban was added to a bill dealing with Bureau of Motor Vehicles rules.

The ban applies to outdoor advertising and flyers that are mailed to Indiana residents from pot dispensaries…
