FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – A convicted felon who was caught in a high-speed chase with Fort Wayne police late last year was sentenced in U.S. District Court, the Department of Justice announced Thursday.
Cantrell James was handed eight years in prison, according to the DOJ.
James was wanted on an active warrant when police tried to pull him over on Nov. 6, 2024. A speedy chase ensued, and when officers were able to deflate James’ tires, he tried to run and two pistols fell out of his waistband, according to court documents in the case.
