First Alert Forecast: Another round of rain Tuesday, sunny midweek into the weekend

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) – Though more rain is in the forecast after our soggy Sunday, it was nice to get a bit of a break for a good chunk of the day today!

That stubborn area of low pressure that has been spinning its wheels for days with bring occasional showers/downpours with it this evening into Tuesday morning, but as many have already witnessed, some funnel clouds are possible, too (see below, taken this afternoon!). Cold air funnels are quite common in the spring and normally pose no danger. The rotation that keeps them going is relatively weak, so even IF one managed to form at the surface (and thus, become a tornado) damage would likely be minimal.

Periods of rain will turn to scattered showers Tuesday afternoon and evening, and we should actually see some decent clearing Tuesday night with lows falling back into the 40s…
