FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) — Lutheran Health Network kicked off Nurses Week by planting a tree in remembrance of the nurses they have lost.
Monday, the Lutheran Downtown Hospital staff gathered outside the Main Entrance to plant a tree to pay tribute to nurses lost too soon. The tree will be accompanied by a plaque that features a poem to feature what the tree stands for.
“Nurses are the backbone to healthcare,” said Colby Trane, Chief Nursing Officer at Lutheran Hospital. “Without nurses serving and providing care on a day-to-day basis, the hospital organization wouldn’t be the same.”…
