First Alert Forecast: Warmer, sunnier weather in store Wednesday before cool air settles back in

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) – Some late-afternoon clearing hopefully served as convincing evidence the low pressure center that has been spinning in the Ohio Valley is finally on its way out!

Skies will clear further overnight with lows in the upper 40s.

Wednesday will be the warmest day until the weekend with highs soaring into the mid and upper 70s under mostly sunny skies! A cold front will sweep through late Wednesday into Thursday, however, which won’t have any impact on sky conditions, but it will cause the high temperature to struggle into the mid 60s by Thursday afternoon with the low temperature crashing into the upper 30s overnight into Friday morning. Right now, the risk for frost is low, but not zero. The highest chance of seeing a low in the mid 30s would be north of Fort Wayne near the Michigan line…
