First Alert Forecast: Drying out and warming up today

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) – High pressure is finally allowed to take control allowing for sunshine and warmer temperatures throughout the day today. Highs return to the 70s under partly to mostly sunny skies, but we will see a brief drop in temperatures shortly after today with a cold front expected to cross tomorrow. This front is fairly moisture starved, but one or two light showers could pass with the front tomorrow. This is the best rain chance we have for the next week and after this front crosses, sunshine and warmer temperatures are in store for the weekend.

One thing to watch for later tomorrow after the front crosses is a quick cool down heading into Friday morning. Overnight lows between tomorrow and Friday could see lows drop into the upper 30s thanks to clear skies. This…..
