16-year-old arrested after bomb threat at Hicksville school

HICKSVILLE, Ohio (WANE) — A 16-year-old is in custody after making a statement about having a bomb at a Hicksville Exempted Village School Thursday afternoon.

According to a release from the Hicksville Police Department, just before 3:15 p.m. Thursday, the police department received a call from Hicksville Exempted Village Schools, saying a student had made a “statement about having a bomb.”

Officers responded to the school and located the student, a 16-year-old, who made the statement. That 16-year-old was taken into custody and taken to a Northwest Ohio Juvenile Detention Center…
